I started this working on this project on 3/15/2020. If you’ve found this page, welcome! I’d love for you to take part.… the photos are just the beginning.
Each portrait will be very casual, and shouldn't take more than a couple minutes of your time. I’ll drive to you, use a telephoto lens to maintain social distancing, and send you some images for you to share. These are meant to be snapshots of individuals and families in their environments, so don’t dress up on my account!
Some of us are alone, or with one other person, some are with large families. We are all just people who don’t get to do what we used to, to connect with each other. The act of being observed in your space is inherently intimate- the moments I’m capturing are what I hope to use to remind us that our experiences are shared and we are truly not alone. I hope you will sign up for my project, and that we’ll be able to have a community viewing after everything settles down. We’re all having similar moments next to each other. These images will bridge that space.
There's no charge for this - but venmo and PayPal are great if you feel like tipping me or sending gas money, lol (see below).
